AMALFI PRINCESS (f, 2, Temple City--Polish Flower, by Danzig), on the board in two maiden special weights--including her last out Nov. 13 at Aqueduct--and just off the board in Belmont’s GIII Matron S., was sent at 2-1 to finally pay a visit to the winner’s circle here.

The dark bay didn’t disappoint, settling in the clear on the outside while up with the first flight. She snatched the lead on the turn just after a half passed in :45.22 and powered home to secure a 2 1/4-length win. Grace’s Secret (Cairo Prince) rallied from the back for the runner-up spot.

Amalfi Princess is a half to Joe Vann (Silver Deputy), GSW, $267,354; and a full to a yearling filly that brought $2,500 at Keeneland September. The winner’s dam has been bred back to Competitive Edge.
